Deliverance Is Happening in Mount Zion

[32] “And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.
For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,
As the LORD has said,
Among the remnant whom the LORD calls.” – Joel 2:32 (NKJV)

Mount Zion was a popular mountain in the historical days of Israel. It was noted for lots of spiritual happenings between man and God. But in the New Testament, God doesn’t dwell in tents, mountains or even in church buildings. He dwells inside the believer, which means every Christian is a citizen of Zion. So, when the scripture says in Joel 2:32 that, “…For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,” God is talking about believers in Christ.

Can I tell you something? As a Christian, see yourself as a hub of good works. Deliverance is happening in Mount Zion (you) because God is transforming your life daily to be more and more like Jesus. Furthermore, He is also using your life to tell others that Jesus is Lord and can really change lives.

Don’t be too selfish with what God is doing through you to help others. He will be there for you, but plans to bless you for the sake of others to benefit from you. Let go of yourself to embrace God so that He will transform you and make you desire to do His will every day of your life.
