Rejoicing Comes in the Morning

[5] “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” – Psalms 30:5 (NIV)

Are you bound by so many sorrows in your life that you haven’t had a peaceful mind over time? If so, you’re not alone. It’s been proven by several studies that there is a surging increase in people battling with depression every day. Does it surprise you? I don’t think you should be surprised by it because Jesus said that there’ll be tribulation in this world and believers will have their fair share of it (see John 16:33). But it is the same Jesus who also said that we should not worry about our lives (see Matthew 6:25). That means, even though you shall go through tribulations, there is joy at the end of the tunnel for every tribulation.

Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. That “night” in your life doesn’t have a specified deadline, although it will pass. Therefore, when you pray about a situation and don’t get immediate results from the Lord, do not think He didn’t hear you. He did, but He may want to teach you something in the midst of the storm.

Fret not about your life, thinking your issues will be the same as you see them today. No! It won’t. Things will change over time. In some situations, you must take action intentionally; otherwise, they will remain. For others, God will step in at the right time for you, and such situations don’t just pass away, no matter how much you pray or how much effort you put into changing it. Live joyfully, being conscious of His presence in your life. It is well with you!

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for carrying me through every situation I have ever been through. I know You will never leave nor forsake me. Amen!
