Be Ever Thankful Unto God

[15] “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” – Colossians 3:15 NIV

Yesterday, I spoke about letting the peace of Christ rule in your heart as the dearly beloved child of God. Today, from that same verse, I want to minister something essential in your faith journey in Christ. It is called thanksgiving.

Many of us aren’t thankful unto God. We always wake up chasing things in the world, busying ourselves with work, school and other life activities. It’s sad to say that some Christians don’t even pray anymore. What a tragedy! It is not God’s will for you to be so busy that you’ll not have time to be intimate with him. If you’ve been caught in that lifestyle, repent today.

Aside from Paul encouraging us to be intentional about letting Christ’s peace rule in our hearts, he concludes the verse by saying that we should be ever thankful unto God. When was the last time you told God you are grateful for His presence in your life? Think about this! The world will never be at a standstill. Things will keep moving, and you might get busier with time. Don’t be in a rush; live grateful unto God.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your grace and peace in my life. Help me never to forget to be grateful unto You for everything You are to me. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
