Everyone Will Hate You Because of Jesus

In Mark 12:13, Jesus said, “Everyone will hate you because of me …”. Think about that for a minute. If you are a believer, it means you’ve got enemies, whether you like it or not. Those enemies may not come into your life in plain sight. They can hang around you with itchy ears and wicked hearts, yet they are very hypocritical in their talk with you. Such is life.

Give Your Team Extra Special Treatment

Let me tell you something, dear leader. Each individual in your team is valuable. Once you don’t treat each person well and offence grows without punishment, the team members won’t feel okay, and some will leave. Many people hate their jobs today, not because of the job but because genuine love is missing in various workplaces.

Consider Carefully What You Hear

Jesus said, “Consider carefully what you hear… With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more” (see Mark 4:24). That means that you must be careful what you let the windows of your life – your sight and ears, get exposed to because it directly affects your life.

A Wicked and Adulterous Generation Looks for a Sign

As a minister of God, you should not live by the demands of men. Otherwise, you will end up living to fulfil people’s demands rather than living to please God. Sometimes, what people want you to do for them isn’t bad. They could be helpful. However, there are many instances where people’s demands would be contrary to the will of God for your life. So, be careful.

Distinguishing Between Family from Kingdom Family

Aside from Jesus knowing vividly that He came from above and not from the Earth, He had more security belonging to His team than His biological family. A minister of God who his family persecutes will probably behave like Jesus. He’ll find more joy and security hanging around like-minded believers than staying home.

Your Treasure and Your Heart Will Always be in the Same Direction

Because your treasure and your heart will always be in the same direction, it is essential to guard your heart against all forms of filth because when filth gets into it, your finances will become imbalanced. Why? Because your love for the Lord will wax cold (see Matthew 24:12). Guard your heart with all diligence because all the issues of life springs from it (see Proverbs 4:23).

Do Not be Afraid to Preach the Truth

Dear preacher, do not be afraid to preach the truth, even if people forsake you. God didn’t call you to make a name for yourself or to preach messages other people like you to preach. He called you to be faithful, which you must fulfil because you’ll be accountable unto Him in the end.
