Today, if you are born again, the Holy Spirit lives in you. That said, you have also been given the power by the same Spirit in you to testify about Jesus to others through the preaching of the gospel.
Transformation in Christ begins with crucifying your old self—leaving behind the carnal nature and embracing a new life led by the Spirit. Discover what it means to repent, renew, and live purposefully in God’s kingdom.
For the scripture to say, “Do not get drunk on wine,” then it means don’t take alcohol or any wine or drink with even the slightest alcoholic content in it. If you do, it’ll lead you to debauchery (meaning immorality), which is improper to be said about you.
Sometimes, if you want to pray, you may feel tired. But let me tell you that you not in the flesh to be weakened by it. No! You are in the Spirit (see Romans 8:9). Paul is entreating us in Ephesians 4:3 that, as believers, we can dwell together in spiritual harmony by fostering peace among ourselves. But why did he say that? Because he knew that relationships are one of the most complex areas of life in this world.
In Ephesians 1:13-14, Paul, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, revealed unto us that after we heard the word of truth and got saved, God sealed us with the Holy Spirit of promise. You may ask, but why? It’s because there is an inheritance for us in Christ as servants of God – both on earth and in heaven (see 1 Peter 1:3-4, Matthew 19:29-30). And it is through the Spirit we are assured that that inheritance is ours and nobody can tamper with it.

Do you want to stand out in anything you are doing as a believer – church-related or not? You need the anointing of the Holy Ghost on your mind and hands.
Don’t insult the Spirit of grace by neglecting the promptings of the Spirit to practise holiness, or else you’re indirectly telling God that Jesus’ death on the cross was not enough to purge you of all kinds of sins.
In the same way, God has created us to live extraordinary lives without struggle – a life above the dictates of sin but of grace’s empowerment. But with our human strength, we’re very limited.
