Worrying Doesn’t Lengthen Your Days of Life

[25] “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?” – Luke 12:25 (NIV)

One of the most prevalent mental health problems in this generation is anxiety. It stems from worrying about life’s issues; I can tell you many people are victims of this. Why? Because a lot is going on in people’s lives, they don’t like it. For some, it’s marital delay or challenges. Another is the lack of adequate pay in their current job. Yet another, it’s about a lack of employment. So, as you can see, people are battling with many things. But what did Jesus say in response to these things?

In John 16:33 (NKJV), Jesus said,

[33] “… In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

So, from this, it is clear that problems won’t cease to exist in the world. But Jesus says we should be of good cheer. The reason? Because He has overcome the world. The truth of the matter is that God is for you, and since that is so, you need not worry about your life. Worrying doesn’t lengthen your days of life. Step out in faith, knowing very well that God has your case in mind to deal with it for you.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for all that You do for me. Help me to live worry-free of my life and future. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
