[24] “Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?” – Luke 12:24 (NKJV)
Do you know a raven? It’s a big black bird that’s a member of the crow family. Like any ordinary bird, such birds live each day without knowing what to feed on, except God provides for them. They aren’t human beings who must work hard before getting money to buy or prepare food. They just live without worrying, yet God feeds them. Don’t you think you’re more valuable to God than they?
If God feeds the ravens, who neither sows (by working or investing) nor reaps (by harvesting, receiving dividends or earning a salary), how much more will He provide for you? Anxiety makes you doubt God’s provisions for your life, especially when you aren’t on any payroll. But God’s ways are past finding out. If He can direct what ways ravens should fly in order to get food to eat, then He knows how to provide for you in ways that aren’t in the traditional thinking of man’s ways of getting needs met.
Fret not, beloved in Christ. Let how God feed the ravens teach you about His provision for your life. He will never leave nor forsake you. So, go all out today, knowing He will provide what You need according to His riches in grace.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, I trust in You to provide for me every step of the way. May I never doubt You will give me what I ask for. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
