The Head of Every Man Is Christ

[3] “But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” – 1 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV)

In 1st Corinthians chapter 11, verses 2 to 4, Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, laid out God’s hierarchy of authority regarding divine administration. But today, I want us to consider one aspect of this hierarchy written in the first part of 1 Corinthians 11:3. That is, the head of every man is Christ. Have you thought about what it means?

Every human has a head. Right? If your head is not functioning correctly, then there is a problem with it, particularly your brain. And guess what happens next? Your whole body will be in shambles. That is why mad people have wretched lives. There may be no problem with any part of their bodies, but because their heads aren’t functioning well, their lives are affected totally.

Now, as a male, your head (direct jurisdiction of authority) is Christ. Note that the Bible didn’t say that the head of some men is Christ. No! It says the head of every man is Christ. That implies that if a man doesn’t submit to Christ, there will be problems in his life as a whole, and a common effect of this is spiritual misalignment. No man on this Earth, no matter where he finds himself, can live up to God’s standards if he does not bow to the majesty of Christ. And it becomes more dangerous when such a man is married. Why? Because it affects not only his life but also his family. Wondering why many families experience troubling times the moment their dads die or aren’t walking in God’s ways? This is the problem!

Dear lady of God, don’t neglect these warnings when processing proposals from men. That person you choose must know God and know Him well. Otherwise, there will be problems in future. Dear sir, aside from all your toils to make a living, don’t forget God! Don’t skip church and personal Bible study, for God has made all these available for your sake.

Prayer:

Father, help me to submit to you with all sincerity and wholeness. I pray that my commitment to you never dwindles. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
