The Gospel Must Be Preached to All Nations

[10] “And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.” – Mark 13:10 (NKJV)

When Jesus was listing the things that would happen before the end times, He stated emphatically that the gospel must be preached to all the nations first. Now, let’s analyse this statement thoroughly. Back then, the nations of the Earth weren’t like they are today. I wasn’t there to see what the world map looked like, but due to massive changes, it is entirely different from how it was before. I am not disputing the fact that Jesus knows all things, but He spoke to people with a different view of the world map than the one we have today.

When Jesus told His disciples that they must preach the gospel, in their minds, He knew that they did not fully grasp what He said. However, Jesus understood that His words would be written down for billions of people, including you and me, to access and obey. Even though the command is boldly written in scripture, there are several nations today where preaching the gospel is entirely forbidden. Yet, there are also some places where the gospel has a free course, such as Ghana. Therefore, the labour of ministry is incomplete until every soul hears about Jesus.

Don’t be a reserved gospel minister who cares little about God’s work. Yes, I understand that ministry can sometimes be busy, and problems with resource provision can halt operations. But, friend, move according to God’s pace and don’t pressure yourself to do something beyond measure.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me keep preaching the gospel in divine strength till everyone hears the gospel. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
