Everyone Who Asks Receives

[7] “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. [8] For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8 (NKJV)

Are you a parent or a child? If you are a parent, aren’t you conscious of giving the child what he wants if he requests it from you? And if you are a child, don’t your parents give you, if not all, at least some of the things you request from them? You see, God is your Father and is conscious of meeting your needs.

In Matthew 7:7, Jesus said, Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” This scripture significantly talks about levels of persistent prayer. That is, beyond asking, seek. And beyond seeking, knock. So, as a believer, you don’t have an excuse not to keep praying if you really want what you are requesting for.

But in verse 8, Jesus continued, “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” If you ask God, you’ll receive it. If you step further to seek what you asked God for, you will find it. And if you persist further on your prayer requests to knock at the opportunities that come your way, the door will be opened to you.

Do not relax and think things will be okay just because you prayed. You must make more efforts to see the manifestation of God’s word concerning your life. Receive your miracle in Jesus’ name.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me to keep believing what You have said concerning my life, no matter the pressures of life that make the prophecies linger. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
