Don’t Give the Enemy the Chance to Snatch God’s Word from You

[19] “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.” – Matthew 13:19 (NKJV)

There is something about the devil that is so funny but very serious. It’s his ability to snatch God’s Word from the hearts of believers. When I think about it, it is so funny to me. But I think it is one of the major reasons why several Christians aren’t making much progress in life because they make the devil take away the Word of God, which they are supposed to use to make things work. Hmm!

Dear one, don’t give the enemy the chance to snatch God’s Word from you. Otherwise, all the time you spent listening to God’s Word in church or online livestream will go to waste. Think about this. Is it not frustrating to be unproductive after receiving the seed of God’s Word? I tell you that many believers are subtly blaming God in their minds because they aren’t seeing much results from the Lord after following Him for several years. While some results are not immediately seen after much spiritual investment, some are also not coming because they’ve allowed the devil to snatch them from their hearts.

Ask yourself how much devotion you put into imbibing God’s Word. If you are a haphazard person, are not consistent with ministry, and have no prayer or Word-study life, then don’t think you’ll reap God’s results supplied by His Word. No! Things don’t work that way. Pay attention to God’s Word, understand what you’ve received and use it to work. It is well with you.

You are a blessing.
