“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” — Ephesians 6:10 NKJV
After Paul constructively teaches the Ephesians church about so many essential things to know in Christ, he enters the concluding part of his epistle by telling them to be strong in the Lord. That’s really encouraging, but why that statement.
You see, last words are particularly essential. A person can forget many things you say but will likely remember your last words if you get their maximum attention. So for Paul to place words like “Be strong in the Lord” in the concluding part of his epistle really meant a lot to him.
Godly strength is a need in each believer’s life. I’m not speaking about physical strength, but the strength that emanates from the anointing of God in you. Without it, you’ll be denied of endurance to fulfil your divine mandate.
It takes much grace and works to do what God has called you to do. So you must be spiritually strong. You’ve got to trust Jesus despite all the different facets of life. You’ve got to hinge on His promises because they are yea and amen. They’ll surely come to pass.
Stay committed to Him. Read and study His Word daily. Pray more and receive more instructions from Him. Your life won’t be the same. You’ll live from glory to glory, grace to grace, and do mighty exploits in the kingdom of God. But you need to be strong in the Lord always. Amen!
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Lord, I pray that You’ll strengthen me to do more for the cause of vision. I pray that I’ll not have a life of an ordinary man but as a man poised to do more and fulfil my entire divine assignment in the name of Jesus. Amen!
