Be Conscious of Your Divine Mandate

[35] “Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— [36] lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. [37] And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” – Mark 13:35-37 (NKJV)

Having worked in several companies and studied how administrative work is handled in many organisations, I’ve come to realise that supervision is one of the most powerful ways to ensure that work is done with a team. It is good for employees to be well supervised for the work they do, or else they’ll become slack with it. But can I surprise you by saying that this technique didn’t originate from the world? It is right there in the Bible, although indirectly stated.

Jesus told His disciples to watch because they did not know when the master (God Almighty) of the house was coming. Because of that, they shouldn’t be found sleeping when the master comes. So, from this, there is indirect supervision from God concerning whatever you are doing with your life today. God is omnipresent, but we often forget that He is with each of us.

Don’t think what you do in secret isn’t seen by God. No! He has already seen it. If what you are doing is good and gives Him the glory, continue with it. If it is bad, repent and get back on track. Be conscious of your divine mandate because you will ultimately account for it.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your gift of eternal life in my life. Help me to be conscious of my divine mandate as I live to fulfil Your will daily. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
