Are you sent of God? — It’s a question many people think of about men of God in their minds without telling them directly. Many people don’t believe in those God has sent, especially the early stages of their ministries. Why? Because people look at what you’ve achieved to rate you instead of using John 3:34.
The words in John 3:34 are directly from the mouth of John the Baptist, who was a minister whom Jesus said he was greater than all the people born before the kingdom of God was revealed (Luke 7:28). It’s written that the one whom God had sent speaks the words of God. So the key to validating whether God has sent a person or not is this: check whether the word he speaks is in synchrony with the Bible. Period!
Anyone sent of God speaks the words of God, which are full of Spirit and eternal life. John continues to explain that genuine servants of God are given the Holy Spirit without measure. Now that means God has provided such people with everything they need to be consistent life-givers through the preaching of the Word in various ways. To the servant of God despised by men, enough allowing people’s opinions to weigh you down. Judge yourself based on the standards of God’s Word, and be available to be corrected when you’re wrong. Don’t give up. God is with you. He’ll expand your influence. Be faithful in handling what God has given you, and continue doing good works.
