All Scripture Is God-Breathed

[16] “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,” – 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)

The breadth of God carries His life. So anything He breathes upon comes back to life, even when it is motionless. That is why after God created Adam, the Bible says He breathed into his nostrils, and Adam became a living soul (see Genesis 2:7). Indeed, when God breathes into something, it means His life gets into it. And from 2 Timothy 3:16, the Bible says all scripture is God-breathed. That means a lot. Right?

First of all, it carries the divine life in it. And Jesus confirmed this in John 6:63 when He said the words He spoke are Spirit and life. Secondly, God never dies. Moreover, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. So, Jesus, being the Word incarnate, means that whatever God breathes life into it is not subject to death unless that thing stops taking breadth from the Lord. Can I tell you something, dear believer?

To keep enjoying eternal life in glory, you must keep receiving from the Lord. That is why you must prioritise your daily quiet time with the Lord, regularly going to church and praying. Never get too busy for God because if that happens, you are too busy, which can affect you. Speak life into that situation; pray about it by the revelation of the Word you have. And God will step up into your case.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me keep receiving life from Your Word every day. May I never drift from your providential way. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
