by[10] “... For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:10 (NKJV)
Long before the first search engine was created, God’s Spirit had the capability to search all things, even the deep things of God. Today, it is pretty sad how believers in Christ turn more to Google and other search engines when making search requests, especially concerning their future and things of God. Am I condemning the power of digital search engines here? Of course not. It could be that you saw this post after entering a related keyword online in your search engine. But I am saying that the power of the Holy Spirit’s search is stronger than digital search engines. Before Paul made this statement in 1 Corinthians 2:10, the Bible says in the preceding verse that,
[9] But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” – 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)
Just look at that critically. God has prepared great things for those who love Him and walk according to His ways. But to see those things, you cannot view them by searching online. You only get them by consulting the Holy Spirit. Why? Because the Spirit searches all things, including the deep things of God, for you.
See, God is not inaccessible. He is very accessible. But He only reveals things to those who call upon Him (see Jeremiah 33:3), not those who aren’t praying or walking in His ways. You can know the deep things of God concerning your life, but only by the Spirit. So, pursue a deeper intimacy with God, starting today.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your love. I know that You know the greatest details about my future, so I choose to entrust it into Your hands. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
