[27] “The human spirit is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one’s inmost being” – Proverbs 20:27 (NIV)
Do you have a lamp in your room? If yes, I suppose you know how it works. If not, at least you’ve seen some in pictures and videos. Right. You’ll realise that it is brightest at its inmost part, and its brightness doesn’t extend to longer distances. Practically, a bulb even shines brighter than a lamp, even though lamps are bigger than bulbs.
The scripture says in Proverbs 20:27 that the human spirit is the lamp of the Lord. Because of that, it sheds light on a person’s inmost being. That means that our spirit, when made alive by the power of the Holy Spirit upon receiving salvation, becomes the central director of our lives, capable of showing us the next step to take. Very simple. Right?
Even though God is all-knowing, He will never show you the definite trajectory to reach the fullness of your destiny. He can show you the destination but will lead you one step at a time. So, just in case you are worried about your future, remember that God will guide you. He will not watch you to be ashamed. In fact, He has got you well covered and protected under His arms. Fret not because He is with you.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Thank You, Father, for always guiding me. Help me to keep walking in obedience to You and Your Word. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
