Live in Harmony with One Another

[16] “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.” – Romans 12:16 (NIV)

Can I ask you a question? Just be sincere to yourself. Do you live in harmony with the people in your life? If yes, give yourself a pat on the back. If not, then admit that you’ve got work to do because scripture charges all believers to do that. Yes, relationships are one of the most complicated areas of this life, spanning from casual friendships to marriages. As such, many people have problems with others because of what they do to them. But while you cannot control what people do to you, you can choose how to respond to them.

So, when the scripture says live in harmony with one another, God isn’t saying that you’ll not have problems with people. No! He knows you will, including the one you are married to (or will marry in future). He knows you will face problems with colleagues at the workplace, fellow believers in church, and other people from various areas of life. But He is telling you to be wise in how you live with them.

You will not have perfect relationships with others in your life. But you are to maintain a peaceful mind despite the challenges with relationships you may face. Fret not because God is with you.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your grace and mercy in my life. Help me to live in harmony with others no matter the problems I face with them. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
