[31] “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” – Mark 13:31 (NKJV)
Jesus is great. He existed as Spirit before He became the word incarnate upon coming to the Earth. Because He lives forever more, He made a bold statement captured in scripture: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Let’s break that statement down.
The word “heaven” there doesn’t refer to God’s abode or where believers will go when Jesus comes back the second time, as you may think. No! It refers to the skies. The word “Earth” in the scripture also means habitable ground. So Jesus was saying that everything we see will pass away. But His words will not pass away. In other words, the word of God will never expire. If you don’t believe this, consider how long the scriptures have tarried. It is the same Bible we are using today that has existed for centuries yet hasn’t lost a single bit of power and relevance. Do you think God will ever fail you? No!
Let me tell you something. You have to believe in whatever God says about your life with firmness in your mind. What God says is potent enough to come to pass in your life. Stop doubting. Doubt your doubts, dear friend. Let God be true and every man a liar. He is too faithful to fail you.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me love You and keep believing that I live, move and have my being in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
