God Is Rich in Mercy

[4] “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,” – Ephesians 2:4 (KJV)

I haven’t been to the court before. But one relative of mine had a court case months ago at the time of this writing. And from what I heard my family members who attended the court proceedings say, mercy really triumphs over judgement, just as the Bible says in James 2:13.

What comes to mind when the Bible says God is rich in mercy? Is it merely Him forgiving your sins and the sins of the whole world? Yes, that’s true. But it goes beyond that. God had mercy on us, not imputing our sins unto us, but sent Jesus to come and die for us. If the Almighty went to this extent to ensure you would get salvation, how much mercy could you show to others who offended you?

Sometimes, pray for God to bestow your heart with enormous patience so you’ll forgive other people’s faults and shortcomings in your life. We live in the days where wickedness is constantly increasing. Guard your heart with all diligence.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your lovingkindness and mercy in my life. Help me show mercy to others despite any evil they do to me. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
