God is the creator of the Earth. So, everything in it belongs to Him, whether man likes it or not. Therefore, no matter how rich you are or will ever become, you are a steward of those possessions, not the owner. But you see, many don’t see it from this light. They see what they have as materials bought with their hard-earned money, forgetting that God gave them air to breathe to work they didn’t even pay for.
God is sovereign but also gentle. Even though He owns everything, He isn’t as proud as some rich men are. He is so good that even if men don’t thank Him, He still gives them provision. Think of the many days you’ve never prayed to thank Him for His favour in your life. Yet, He still supplies you with your needs according to His riches.
Dear friend, never get to the point where you feel like you have what you have because of your own efforts. No! God helped you, so always acknowledge Him for that. Live with a reverent heart toward Him. He will never be unfaithful to you.

Prayer:
Father, help me to recognise You as the owner of everything I have and will ever have. Give me the grace to steward your possessions well for Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
