The Holy Spirit Will Give Life to Your Mortal Body

[11] “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” – Romans 8:11 (NKJV)

Have you been to the hospital or seen a video of doctors using a resuscitating machine to revive someone who has collapsed, had a cardiac arrest or is on the verge of losing his life? That machine provides an electric shock to the heart to restore it to its normal operations. That scene can best describe what the Bible says in Romans 8:11.

When you weren’t born again, you were dead in trespasses and sins. But when God saved you, you had the deposit of the Holy Spirit in you. Therefore, your spirit man immediately receives eternal life upon being saved. But your mind needs to be transformed by the Word of God, and your body quickened to live according to God’s ways. Unfortunately, that has been a problem in many lives. They are born again but have their natural bodies still perishing and sometimes falling prey to temptations. What a tragedy!

The Bible says the Holy Spirit will give life to your mortal body. His indwelling in your heart doesn’t mean He’s done with you. He is the one who has been mandated to revive anything you have run short of in your mortal body so that immortality will manifest in your life. That is why you must submit every dormant area of your life to God for Him to bring life to it. Is it an incapacitation to pray? He can quicken your body to pray, sometimes longer than you ever expect Him to be. Is it a health problem? He can heal you. Surrender all to Him!
