You Need Endurance as a Divine Prophecy Carrier

[17] “Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. [18] And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. [19] But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.” – Luke 2:17-19 (NKJV)

How does it feel for a mother to give birth to a fresh baby and all of a sudden start receiving visitations from people she doesn’t know? Quite surprising. Right? But that is how Mary felt. That very night she gave birth to Jesus, she, along with Joseph and the baby Jesus, received a surprise visit from wise men from a different country and shepherds. Wow!

The Bible says that when the shepherds saw Jesus, they told Mary and Joseph what they encountered, which made them come to visit them. And guess what? All those who heard it marveled at the things the shepherds said. But Mary kept all those things they said about the baby in her heart. Mary knew how to bear the prophecies about Jesus in her heart. God empowered her and made her strong enough to bear the same prophecies she received about Jesus. That was why she was able to raise Jesus well.

The moment God announces favour upon you, do not think your life is going to be normal. It won’t and probably never be like that anymore. That is why you need endurance as a divine prophecy carrier because you will bear burdens from the Lord your entire life. Instead of crying to God about your situation, pray for the strength to bear them. Jesus will never leave nor forsake you.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the spirit of endurance in my life. Help me to love You greatly and to fulfil my divine assignment in strength. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
