“We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.” — 2 Corinthians 6:1 NKJV
Have you worked with someone before? If yes, how does it feel like, especially when you two are collaborating to get something done? Each person puts in effort, so the work doesn’t fall on one person. Right? That’s how God wants us to live when it comes to kingdom labour. He wants to collaborate with us to work. But for the empowerment to do that, the source is from Him – His grace.
Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:1 that we are God’s co-workers. That means, as ministers, we collaborate with God to work. However, some people in the Corinthian church didn’t understand this revelation. And that’s why even sexual immorality was going on in that church (see 1 Corinthians 5:1). They didn’t know that they’ve received grace in Christ to live unto Him and to labour for His kingdom. Thus, they frustrated God’s grace in them. And I don’t want God to say that about you.
The grace He has given you is to help you bring out the best in you for the benefit of His kingdom. If you’ll impact nations for Christ, it’s dependent on that grace. If you’ll excel in anything you’re doing, it’s reliant on the work of that grace.
You cannot fulfil your divine mandate with your human strength. That’s why Christ lives in you. Commune with Him consistently, and that divine enablement to excel in what God has called you to do will begin manifesting in multiplication.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making me a co-worker with You in Your kingdom. I receive grace to excel in whatever I’m doing with my hands that glorify your name. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
