[1] “Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. [2] For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.” – Psalms 117 (NIV)
Psalm 117 has only two verses, and in those two verses, the Psalmist speaks about God’s great love towards us. He then continues to say that the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Think about this. If God didn’t love you, do you think He would have sent Jesus to come and die to take away your sin? No!
Great is God’s love towards us, not because we merit it, but because He decided and chose to love us even when we did not merit it. Can you extend your depth of love to another fellow? That person doesn’t have to act right before he deserves your love. If you wait for people to start behaving well before you love them, you are going to find faults and multiple reasons not to do so. But God’s love has no loopholes.
God will never be unfaithful to you. So, commit to loving Him and keeping His commands all the days of your life. It is well with you on every side. Keep soaring higher in His grace.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me to keep loving people as You love them, despite their faults and mistakes. Thank you, Jesus. Amen!
