Old Testament priests mediated between God and people. In the New Testament, intercession has become every believer’s responsibility. Since the Canaan got cursed by Noah way back in Genesis 10, all his descendants formed part of the curse. God, who knew Jesus would come through a woman, chose to forbid the Israelites from marrying any Canaanite descendant all throughout the Old Testament because He wanted to preserve the holy Seed of Christ flowing through Abraham’s family line, especially Judah.
Understand that God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone with evil. The temptations you face stem from the wickedness prevalent in the world, your own depraved nature, and the influence of the devil. By recognising this truth, you can better equip yourself to resist temptation and grow in your faith.
